Today to talk about The Lost Ways book, it's basically a review. Let's see what's the difference between the 1st edition of the lost ways book and the 2nd edition of this book.



Aren't they the same book. Well, one is paperback and one is hardback and they are supposed to be the same book, but they really aren't.

And so I wanted to talk about where we got these books because we ordered them from two different places.

Just few things that I came across that made me very suspicious about this book. Now, that does not mean if you already have the book that it isn't great information in either one of these books they both have really good information, but the main thing I want to talk about is just some discrepancies I'm seeing as well as, Is it worth the cost for this book when you could probably put your money better elsewhere.

IS IT WORTH THE COST FOR THIS BOOK

So those are the two things I'm going to talk about. So, first, let me talk about where I got this now if you go looking up the last page. There are so many different websites that claim to be the official last ways site that you can read it from, and I don't know if there's one that's better than the other when it comes to those are ones that you can trust more then the other.

 I really do not know, but when you purchase through any of those, what you get is a paperback book with black and white photos, and you also have the option of ordering it where the prices are going to be any different with the digital copy that they will email you, as well as digital copies of three other books.

Now I haven't had a chance to look through those price wise I suppose going that route might be the better expense.

If you still, choose this book, but again I'm very skeptical about a few things and the print is not really any bigger in the bit in this paperback book.

It might be slightly bigger, but there are more pages in the hardback books and there isn't this. Now one thing that I didn't understand is in both of these books.

Both just end, but they don't end the same way, they just end, there's no closing statements. There's nothing in here there's no references at the end, nothing and so I thought that was a little odd because I've never seen that in books before if this one ends with the topic of how to make a wild lettuce extract, wherein this book, that recipe is in here, but it's in here elsewhere and this one ends on the topic of making a waterwheel, which by the way I do not believe is in this book.

So that kind of raised a few red flags to me, and because of that, I'm like why does this just and is there something missing.

So I went to look at the heart back and realize it just ended to but ended on a different topic so I'm thinking, Is there something missing, and it got confusing and I was having a hard time keeping up so I know I'm going to miss a lot of things.

So what I'm going to do is I made up just a list of a few of the differences between these two books.

Now both of these books have some of the same subjects, but it has some that are different, even though they are supposed to be the same book now I do know there's a second one that's green, and it's called the last ways 2, but these two are supposed to be the original first book, so what I'm going to list to you are the things that one book has that the other one doesn't.

So in the paperback, you have how to make glue, how to make candles, how to make your own lie, how to make soap, and how to make snowshoes again just a few examples I do believe there are many more than that.

And then the hardback book has a much better section on herbs, as well as some beautiful color photos so the other book doesn't include, it also talks about how to make pemmican, how to make your own charcoal and activated charcoal how to make gas masks based off the charcoal, and a very in-depth section on deer hunting.

Now they both do talk about trapping and they both have a lot of old recipes that are the same. But, even some of the topics and while some of them are written exactly the same.

Some of them are written very differently, and that just is another red flag to me. And then when you look at the herb section, as I said, the hardback book here me show you the herb section.

We'll get in there. It's pretty thorough. It's like I said it's got a lot of great pictures in here like here's, here's the section on planting, and this one again has a lot more herbs in it, but it's herbs that, that this one has.

when I lookup the word again that's another place when I pick out okay this one has a section on chickweed and so does this so let's compare them very different wording, it doesn't mean that the wording is wrong necessarily I do go into depth studying about what it said and did say in each of these books,

when it comes to the herbs one will go more in depth on the herbs than the other, and sometimes it's this one and sometimes it's that one, comparing all the different topics in our and again, there are a lot of great topics in here in both these books, but do you really want to pay, let's say, for example, by the time we added shipping and handling to this one, it came to (check the latest price below). One of the books I got from eBay, it didn't come with any digital downloads of any kind.

I like this book better and the way it's put together and the way it looks, but it came to about the same price.

Really if you want the information that's contained in these books do you really want to pay (check the latest price below) and just so you get all of the information and that's only assuming it's all of the information I'm still skeptical that either one of these books or even both of these books put together have information that's supposed to be in the last ways book, and that's what the assumption that, is there one book out there one complete last ways book out there that has all of the information is in both of these books put into one book, I have no idea. I looked and looked and looked down looked.

I did searches for reviews on the books, and you would open up a page that made it sound like it was a series like they were going to, you know, asking, Is this a scam or not, in all ended up in was another sales pitch.

I would still do a lot of research, like, such as the one about wild lettuce, I thought that was an interesting way to make a wildlife extract, looking down like that supposedly people are, and it works well and I do believe in cooking the wild lettuce like that you could make it more tolerable to your gut health, because some people are gonna, have issues like this because it can be very hard on the gut when eating raw.

So that could be a better method but I still recommend do your thorough research don't just trust the recipe in this book just like I say, don't trust just my opinions and suggestions, always research everything.
